Calgary appliance repair pricing follows two models: hourly billing (common with national franchises) and flat-rate billing (our approach). Hourly billing creates uncertainty — you don't know the final cost until the job is done. Flat-rate billing means you receive a fixed price quote before we start. We use flat-rate pricing exclusively. The $65 diagnostic fee covers the full inspection and diagnosis. If you approve the quoted repair, the $65 is waived and you pay only the repair price.
Calgary labour rates are modestly higher than in smaller Alberta centres (Lethbridge, Red Deer) due to the higher cost of operating in a major city — technician wages, van operating costs, and parts logistics. All prices on this page reflect Calgary market rates as of May 2026.

Bosch, Electrolux, and Fisher & Paykel occupy a middle tier. Samsung and LG are well-supported in Calgary with parts broadly available.
When repair is not worth the cost
Our general repair-vs-replace threshold: if the repair cost exceeds 50% of the replacement value of the appliance AND the appliance is over 10 years old, replacement is usually the better financial decision. We'll give you this assessment honestly at the diagnostic visit — we don't benefit from recommending unnecessary repairs.
